Angles

Kia ora bloggers,For numeracy today, we have started to learn about angles.  We learnt about 3 different angles today - acute (less than 90°), right angle (90°), and obtuse (larger than 90° but smaller than 180°).  We also learnt how to use a protractor to measure angles.  We know that we need to measure an angle from a vertice (a corner where two straight lines meet). For our create task, we had to measure three different angles on the first letter of our name - can you  figure out if they are acute, right angle or obtuse?

Gallipoli War

Today we made a canva and wrote about the gallipoli war each of my pages has different thing to talk about say for example one slide would have facts. Is there anything you know about the gallipoli war?

Hundertwasser Art

For a few weeks now we have been doing a sertan peice of art called Hundertwasser he is a famous artest in his art you cant use any straight lines at all he died in 2000. he has used his art in arpements and lots others you should try his art.

Weather in maori

Today in Toroa we are doing weather in maori. We used scratch to do an animation last week, and now we are doing the same thing but adding another weather to it so when you click onto my work you will here what is the weather in maori, and the weather is hot and cold.

Sad Isabel

For literacy we have been reading Refugee by Alan Gratz. We looked at the main character, and picked 3 words to describe them. I picked Isabell. For our create task, we had to use Storyboard that, and pick one of our describing words to storyboard. We needed to think about what happened just before that scene, and just after and how we could show emotion in our characters face. I decided to pick sad for my charater. I showed this through when she had to trade her cat for money to get onto the boat.

Hello everyone today I have made an animation about weather in moari. I did mine on scratch, if your not sure how to use scratch they have tutorials on thing like how to make a song and lots of different options. In my animation is asking hows the weather and it is cold in moari. have you ever used scratch before.

Anzac Cove landing by the ANZAC'S

 

In literacy at the moment we are learning about WW1 and in particular, the role the ANZACS played in it. We know that the ANZACS landed at ANZAC cove on April 25th, 1915. They arrived by boat, and were greeted by a beach that was in chaos, steep, rugged cliffs and the Turks firing at them from the top of the cliffs. Many men lost their lives that day, many never made it to the beach. The ones that did were about to start a long journey filled with tears, despair and sadness. This animation is to show the landing at ANZAC Cove. Do you know much about the ANZACS or their landing? This is not yet finished. By Kayla and I
